Community Accelerator Programs

In order to achieve our goals, we run a few programs to help community leaders and builders start and grow their communities.

A. Content Creator Kickstart Scheme

Our content creator kickstart scheme is an initiative created to assist new content creators with their setup. In particular, we support (digital) content creators in procuring the necessary equipments to achieve their visions. Additionally, we might also cover other related costs.

The motivation

We recognize that a community of like-minded people tend to form around published contents and there are many content creators that need a little bit of help to start turning their visions into reality.

Who we're looking for

The content creators inducted into the program are those who are not yet established in their field, but have a clear vision and dedication to make a positive impact in the society.

What we'll provide

We will provide the content creators with the devices they need, initially on a loan basis. Together with the content creators, we will also set up certain milestones to be achieved in a set timeframe. Upon successful completion of the milestones, the devices will be gifted to the content creators, unless otherwise agreed. Other forms of support will also be provided when necessary.

For example, a documentary filmmaker might be provided with a video camera, with an agreement to have a documentary finished in 2 years. If they manage to finish one documentary in 2 years or less, the ownership of the camera will be transferred to the filmmaker. Otherwise, the camera remains under the foundation's ownership and must be returned upon request. During the period of the agreement, we might also provide trainings and cover other costs such as travel expenses related to the filming process.

What we expect in return

We simply expect the content creators to create great contents and build an awesome community! We also strongly encourage them to pay it forward once they're in the position to do so, either through the foundation or directly to any emerging communities they like.

How to apply

Application is currently closed. The next opening is expected in the third quarter of 2022.

B. Meetup Group Support Scheme

With this program, we provide local groups with financial, promotional, and other forms of supports to host their meetups.

This program is currently on a trial run and not yet publicly available.
